Art Start!

The Art Start! program has been postponed until further notice.

Bring your toddlers and preschoolers to learn in a museum. Art Start! is a partnership with the Central Arkansas Library System featuring age-appropriate stories, gallery activities and art projects.

  • Age appropriate stories are intended to connect the child and caregiver to a piece of art in the museum through storytelling.
  • Gallery play activities will help engage children with the act of visiting a museum, seeing and interacting with a piece of artwork, new vocabulary and develop new observational skills.
  • A make and take art project will connect in some way with the story or artwork. These projects will not be product driven but exploratory (as many of the students might not have tried the mediums that we will provide).

Art Start! takes place on the third Wednesday of every month at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library and Learning Center. This program starts at 10:30 a.m. and is approximately one hour long.
