Visit the studios, check out all our cool tools and equipment, and meet the AAC Museum School Department Chairs for Ceramics, Drawing, Fused Glass, Jewelry & Small Metals, Woodworking, and Children & Youth as well as Children's Theatre. A perfect time to get all your questions answered!

Join us for "make and takes" in the studios. Participants are welcome to observe or try their own hand at clay, drawing, fused glass, jewelry, painting, and printmaking. Come see what all the fun and fuss is about!

Experience the Museum School while creating handmade, one-of-a-kind items for your favorite pet. Items you may make include a food or water bowl, a personalized ID tag, and a hand-dyed scarf. Take all your custom-made goodies home - in a handprinted doggy bag - for your furry friend to enjoy!

Explore why wool will felt. Learn the mechanics of wet-felting and how to create both flat and hollow objects. Use these techniques to make several fun felted items - a felted brooch, mittens (or fingerless gloves), and finish with a fantastical felted hat. Tuition includes cost of all materials.
Arkansas Native Leigh Abernathy has been fascinated by fiber since she first dug her hands into a bag of wool. She's a spinner, weaver and felter. Her textured yarns and felted hats are unique and collected by artists and art lovers alike. Leigh's work is inspired by her love of nature, her need to create, and her joy in life. She is a member of the Arkansas Craft Guild and currently serves as its board Vice-President and Jury Chair. To view Leigh's work, go to
