2017-2018 TOURING PRODUCTIONS

Jack FrostJack Frost

November 14 - December 17, 2017

The North Pole has never known a more mischievous elf than Jack Frost, and this year his antics are more rascally than ever. In fact, he’s the number one elf on Santa’s list—and I don’t mean his good list. Yes, jolly old St. Nick is at his wits end. He’s so distracted by Jack’s bad behavior that he can’t even do his work. It’s a good thing that wise old Mrs. Claus is around to take her two high-spirited boys in hand and save the day—Christmas Day, that is. By Keith Smith

Humpty DumptyHumpty Dumpty

January 30 - February 25, 2018

“All the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Humpty together again.”

Sounds like a true and terrible tragedy, huh? But that’s only because you don’t know the whole story—yet. This new farmyard fantasy from the Arkansas Arts Center’s Children’s Theatre tells the tale a little girl named Dixie Valentine Wheeler who finds and cares for a fragile, precious egg boy named Humpty. Humpty finds all the best ways to have fun on a farm, and it’s up to Dixie to make sure his fun doesn’t turn to an eggy, messy disaster. But thanks to the advice of her good friend Ophelia the mama hen, Dixie knows just what to do: “Watch him like a hawk. Love him like a treasure. And, whatever you do, keep him away from walls!” By Keith Smith

Dorothy in OzDorothy In Oz

April 10 - May 13, 2018

Once upon a time, a simple young lady from the plain Kansas prairie was swept away on a whirlwind adventure into a land of awesome beauty, surprising creatures, and wonderful magic. Now she’s going back to be a very special guest at the birthday party of Princess Ozma of Oz where an exciting telling of her own story is to be the highlight of the festivities. Dorothy couldn’t be more excited. The only question is: how will she get there this time? Cyclone? Sea voyage gone awry? Earthquake? An enchanted road? It seems that all ways lead to Oz if you can just find the right one for you. By Keith Smith, based on the stories of L. Frank Baum
